With her debut album Ora set to release in the UK on August 27th, Rita Ora is officially everywhere.

The US debut of Ora will release soon thereafter and the British singer-songwriter has been doing a non-stop promotional circuit to coincide. The Roc Nation princess’ latest stop comes in the September issue of GQ.

In 2009, Jay-Z signed Rita Ora and gave her an unprecedented three years to put together her debut album. GQ got a chance to catch up with the bleach-blonde starlet to see how she’s evolved and made an identity for herself over that span of time.

In a moment of clarity, Rita revealed her feelings on her audience: “The public’s not stupid, you can tell an honest artist from one who’s just been given all their songs.”
