The video, which shows Sara’s comedic side, thanks to Jonah, displays her quirkishly dancing around in an East L.A. supermarket and getting its customers and workers to join in routines, all while matching her biker chic look.
Last month, Sara spoke to Rolling Stone about her Bareilles/Hill collab saying, “We’ve known each other for a long time, and he wanted to foray into this world. I’m like, ‘Um, yes please, do my video,” which she describes as a “mish-mash of Grease and West Side Story.”
If you’re a Jonah Hill fan, you’d instantly think of the Superbad supermarket scene while watching this video.
If you’re wondering who’s on Jonah’s directorial wish list, Jonah revealed he wanted to direct a hip-hop video.
“I would really want to do a hip-hop video next,” he said.
“I think there can be a lot more creativity involved in hip-hop videos and a lot of them look the same.”
We’d love to see an Odd Future/Jonah Hill video collab!
But until then, check out his first video for Sara Bareilles’ “Gonna Get Over You” below!
