In May, the design duo announced they were teaming up for BBC Black, a new line that strays from their usual work of color and pattern and that’s inspired by military performance fabrics. But instead of following the camo trend that the rest of the fashion industry is on right now, the collection is a lot more covert, black ops style.
We’re already feeling the beginning of chilly fall temps outside, and the collection has key pieces arriving just in time for the season: a classic BBC bomber jacket finished with leather sleeves and pocket details, a flashy windbreaker stitched with logo patches, a screen-printed hoodie. Then there are pieces like the long-sleeve tunic, baseball jersey and utility cargo pants that could be worn with just about everything. And since everything is black, mixing and matching has never been easier with the clothes that are “a celebration of great silhouettes, presented in all black,” according to Pharrell.
