It’s opening day for America’s greatest pastime.

This afternoon the first pitch was thrown out in the major leagues for the season and your favorite players like Derek Jeter, David Wright, Matt Kemp and more are gearing up to take the field.

Baseball is unique because their players make hella money. This offseason owners spent half a billion dollar on just four players. One of those ballers is Kate Upton‘s boyfriend Jason Verlander who is the highest paid pitcher in baseball, but still only lands at number 16 on the highest paid players of 2013.

Jason signed a seven year $180M contract.

So he’ll make a little over $20M this year, before cashing in at $28M a year from 2015-2019. That’s a lot of swimsuits for his Sports Illustrated boo.

But who are the other dudes making more guap that Kate Upton’s boo? Well check them out below and take a quick glimpse at how much bread they’re making.

1. Alex Rodriguez is the originator of the big contract. He infamously signed on for $275M 10 years ago with the Yankees. While he started off hot, he’s starting this season on the bench with a hip injury.

2. It’s not always a good investment to drop major cheese on a player. Johan Santana signed a six year, $137.5M contract and is set to make $25M but he might not pitch a single inning this year.

3. Cliff Lee blanked the Yankees in the World Series and he was able to cash in with a $120M/5 year deal. He can put a bunch of double cheeseburgers.

4. Angels in the outfield, the boy Vernon Wells cashed in with 42 mil over 2 years.

5. Mark Teixeira another injured Yankee who got a lot of commas. He’s owed 90 mill over the next four years his entire contract is $173.2M

6.CC Sabathia the Yankee Ace has stripes in New York but it’s his 119 million that pretty much gives him the key to the city.

7. While A Rod is the King Of New York, Prince Fielder is royalty in Detroit. He signed a $214M contract over nine years to hit homers for his father’s old team.

8. Joe Mauer can buy a lot of Doritos Locos Tacos with this $184M contract. Can we borrow some change?

9. Last time we checked Tim Lincecum was the man in these streets especially after he signed a two year $40.5M deal. Thats cheddar.

10. Adrian Gonzales inked a major seven year deal for a whopping $154M. His contract dwarf’s Cash Money’s CEO Baby’s network of a $125M and he’s last on the list.
