UPDATE: 3:00PM EST
Alleged shooter Terence Tyler, seen in a photo from his Twitter page, is the man police believe killed Cristina LoBrutto, 18, and Bryan Breen, 24, this morning when they were shot in the Pathmark where they worked.
UPDATE: 11:30AM EST
Former military member Terence Tyler has been identified as the man who opened fire in a NJ pathmark earlier this morning.
The two victims, an 18-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, were both from the township, Kaplan said.
Kaplan said the shooter, identified as a 23-year-old township man, appeared to have been a former member of the military.
Neighbors and a law enforcement source identified the shooter as Terence Tyler.
The man had apparently finished his shift, but returned about 3:30 a.m. armed with the weapons and multiple magazines. He started firing randomly, hitting the two employees, Kaplan said.
All three of the dead were assigned to the overnight shift at the store, on Route 9 near the Sayreville border.
"I don't believe they were specifically targeted. I believe everyone was targeted,” Kaplan said.
Another mass shooting! Early this morning, a man entered a Pathmark in Old Bridge, New Jersey and began shooting.
There are rumors that he had on body armor and that he took hostages, however none of these are confirmed. Law enforcement has confirmed that three people have been killed, including the gunman. Workers at the store are saying that the gunman killed himself, who was a former employee of the store and an ex-Marine.
The Pathmark has now been secured.
