We all read that right. Will Smith is set to star in, and produce, The Legend of Cain, starring as Cain, Adam and Eve’s son who allowed jealously to lead him to commit what has been called the world’s first murder.
The twist? Cain and Abel will be vampires. Apparently, this vampire obsession that the world has been afflicted with will not be loosening up soon. The idea may sound a bit bizarre on paper, but might be good once Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith and their Overbrook Entertainment partners get the job done.
However, the idea of taking Biblical characters and turning them into bloodsuckers may rub some the wrong way. It won’t be surprising if they get a little backlash from religious groups before the movie is actually seen.
