For the first time in Hip-Hop history, an MC is actually telling his fans NOT to reach out to him. Lil’ Wayne took to Twitter yesterday asking his fans to stop sending him mail for the remainder of his sentencing. Despite the popularity of WeezyThanxYou, the website created so he can respond to fan mail, his decision seems to be final. It only leaves his fans and followers wondering, why would someone so loved want to disconnect from his devotees? It may be the fact that he’s been recently sentenced to solitary confinement and just wants to finish his bid, with 28 days left and counting. There is always a method to Weezy’s madness, so whatever the reason I’m sure we will find out soon enough.
