Perhaps it was a smart publicity move that earned what Jet Li had hoped for. Fearless became a best seller in which Jet Li portrays the life of a Chinese martial artist known as Huo Yuanjia.</p><p>Huo is born to a father, Huo Endi, who imparts martial arts education to his students and followers. Although Endi is very well versed in his technique, he refuses to let his son learn and practice the art due to his asthma. Over the years Huo watches his father fight & triumph in various tournaments before the senior is defeated by ‘Zhao’ through cheating. Vowing to never become a merciful fighter like his father, Huo sets out on a personal journey in which he starts learning martial arts secretly, making sure his father never learnt of his pursuits while he was alive.</p>
