Thanks to “American Idol,” Jennifer Lopez is officially back on top. The singer/actress/dancer was recently named “The World’s Most Beautiful Woman” by People magazine after reclaiming her career with her new job as “Idol” judge.

Lopez isn’t the only one making a big comeback this year. The Beastie Boys are back after delaying their upcoming project for two years due to Adam Yauch’s battle with cancer.

We’re happy to have both Lopez and the Beasties back on top and here’s a rundown of some other artists we wish can make a big comeback in the very near future.

Missy Elliot – It’s been six years since Missy released new music. The rapper/singer is said to be working on new music with Timbaland … fingers crossed.

Lenny Kravitz – Lenny Kravitz starred alongside Gabourey Sidibe, Monique and Mariah Carey in “Precious,” but we’re still waiting for a new album from the rock star.

OutKast – Big Boi blessed his fans with a solo album in 2010 but OutKast fans are waiting for the duo to jump back in the studio and give us some more “Stankonia.”

Lauryn Hill – Lauryn Hill fans have been aching for her return since her 1998 debut “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” and it looks like we’re getting a little bit closer to getting her long-awaited follow-up.

Mariah Carey – The diva is set to give birth to twins any day now and is expected to make an appearance on the American “X Factor,” but Mariah’s lambs will be aching for some new music pretty soon.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers – It’s been five years since the last Chilli Peppers release. The band is rumored to have a tenth album in the works. Don’t keep us waiting too long fellas.
