Who says the war on drugs is a complete failure? Last week, we reported that the Global Commission on Drug Policy has declared that the global war on drugs has “failed” and the finger was being pointed at the United States as one of the main components of the problem.

STORY: The War On Drugs: We Lost!

Someone forgot to give President Obama that memo, because word came today that the Prez has frozen the American assets of seven foreigners who have been identified as narcotics kingpins under the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act.The Kingpin Act blocks all property and interests in property, subject to U.S. jurisdiction, owned or controlled by significant foreign narcotics traffickers as identified by the President. Added to that, if any American was doing business with anyone identified as being a foreign kingpin they risk going to jail for 30 years, or paying a $5 million fine.

So it looks like not only has Obama stopped the money stream of some of the world’s most notorious drug lords, but has made some new enemies. We aren’t worried about the seven kingpins, they should be worried about Obama. He took out Bin Laden, so drug lords shouldn’t be a big deal.

Let’s take a look at some of the kingpins that made Obama’s list.
