GlobalGrind was on set yesterday afternoon at Restaurant Casa La Femme in New York where supermodel Jaslene Gonzalez was shooting the fall campaign for Celestino.

The womenswear line is designed by Austin, Texas native and FIT graduate Sergio Guadarrama.

As always, Jaslene looked as gorgeous and flawless in the couture creations and million dollar jewels she modeled in the grandiose Egyptian restaurant in Greenwich Village that sits directly across the street from a bicycle shop whose wares spilled onto the sidewalk.

Jaslene has had a busy summer, typical of a beautiful and in-demand model. She just returned from the Hamptons where she played interlocutor at the 12th Annual Arts For Life Fundraiser and shot an editorial for Soma magazine.

“My summer’s been very busy,” Jaslene explained between changes of clothes and make up. “Everyone’s receiving me with open arms!”

This isn’t the first time the Latina beauty has worked with Sergio and Celestino. A few seasons ago, Sergio dressed her for an event for Project Smile, an organization that raises funds for surgery for kids with cleft palletes.

“It was actually one of the times that Jaslene looked the best, the first time I dressed her,” Sergio said. “After that she’s been hooked on Celestino ever since!”

“Sergio is amazing,” Jaslene gushed. “He’s very caring and generous enough to lend me his dresses. What I like about Sergio is he understands my personal style and the style I like to embody which is a very chic, very classy, but hot, Audrey Hepburn-like style. His line portrays that look. He dresses me for red carpet and special events and I love him for that. He’s very dedicated to what he does.”

By the time we’d arrive on set in the afternoon, Jaslene’s shoot was already raging.

“It’s been great considering that I haven’t eaten yet,” the former America’s Next Top Model Cycle 8 winner explained excitedly. “I’m surprised I’m not cranky!”

Gonzalez also said that the process is very new to her and explained that she was impressed by Sergio’s line for the fall. “This is a whole new line for Sergio. It’s very high fashion and it’s pretty cool!”
