As an advocate for up and coming designers and talent, Angela Simmons supported Samantha Black’s runway show with a special appearance on the runway earlier this week!

To close the show, Angela stepped out in a satin body conscious gown that made the audience wild. Nik Pace, the America’s Next Top Model contestant, joined Angela as a model in the show as well.
With an impressive resume, Samantha Black has learned the craft from the likes of Michael Kors, Jil Stuart and Alexander McQueen. Having graduated with a BFA, with a concentration on fashion design, today Black has both the knowledge and experience to take over the fashion industry. Drawing inspiration from the brands where she has had the privilege to work as an apprentice, Black’s aesthetic merges the best of each designer into a specific style that is her own.
The Samantha Black S/S 2012 runway show was a combination of bright colors and unexpected silhouettes. Through the use of sheer fabrics, Samantha gave her collection a bold twist. The collection included sheer, cobalt blue, pleated wide leg pants paired with a nude bustier, strong shoulder on jackets and vests, and prominent shades of orange.
Elle magazine’s Style 360 hosted the event at the Metropolitan Pavilion. The sponsors for the show included Stoli vodka, Phillips and the New York Post. Front row at the show was a star-studded line up including DMC of Run DMC, Fabulous, Tika Sumpter of Gossip Girl, Solange Knowles, and Omarion.
Solange Knowles added to the insanely packed event by creating the soundtrack for the show!
