Is English soccer star David Beckham about to pull a Kobe Bryant?
The handsome athlete and underwear designer is said to be in talks to buy Elizabeth Taylor’s massive jewelry collection from Christie’s after the collection completes its tour before heading to auction in New York in December.

Dame Liz Taylor, known for her films, multiple husbands and exquisite collection of baubles, many of them gifts from her paramours, died last March.
David, according to published reports, is prepared to spend upwards of $4 million for the collection, which includes a diamond and emerald snake watch, a crown and an emerald necklace.
Proceeds from the sale, if it happens, will go to one of Taylor’s AIDS charities.
