With superstar parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith and big brother Jaden to pave the way, nine year old Willow Smith makes a statement with her first single, “Whip My Hair”, which has caught the attention of music lovers of all ages, including myself. Perhaps the biggest shocker of this story is that Jay Z was even impressed by Willow’s vocals and confirmed that the nine year old is now the newest member of Roc Nation. “Whip My Hair” is an anthem celebrating freedom, energy and liberating yourself by ‘whipping your hair’ and the video will be shot in Los Angeles at the end of the month. Roc Nation definitely seems like the perfect home for the young fashionista, and I can’t wait to see Willow’s career take off, after all, I already have “Whip My Hair” on repeat on my iPod and the chorus has been stuck in my head all day long!
