Just two years ago, one of the most catastrophic earthquakes in human history hit Haiti, killing over 300,000 people.

The 7.0 magnitude earthquake immediately brought the country into a state of shock that it could not face alone; demanding world assistance and aid.

Fortunately, many nations such as the United States and those within the European Union contributed vast amounts of financial and medical aid to the crumbled country.

We also witnessed one of the world’s largest humanitarian volunteer efforts, with doctors, medical students and philanthropists, such as Wyclef and our own Russell Simmons, taking the time out to hit the ground of Haiti and fight the disaster head on.

Despite the devastating impact the earthquake caused Haiti, the country has recovered in some areas. However, the effort must continue. Haiti is still extremely underdeveloped.
