Yesterday the music world suffered the lost of one of their biggest pioneers, Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch.

Not only was he a pioneer musically, but as a part of the beastie boys was one of the first to cross cultural barriers with Hip-hop.

After his untimely death rappers spoke up sharing their best memories with the legendary Adam Yauch and thanking him for his musical influence.

One of the biggest rappers of our time, Jay-Z sent his condolences out to Adam in a message that stated: 

“May a great musical pioneer rest in peace. Our prayers go out to his family, as his hip hop family mourns our loss and celebrates his life.”

Rapper Eminiem also sent his condolences in a message that read:

“Adam Yauch brought a lot of positivity into the world and I think it’s obvious to anyone how big of an influence the Beastie Boys were on me and so many others. They are trailblazers and pioneers and Adam will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, Mike D., and Ad-Rock.” – Eminem

Rapper Red Man sent his condolences via Twitter stating:

R.I.P. ADAM “MCA” YAUCH… A TRUE HIPHOP LEGEND…. BEASTIE BOYS MUSIC WAS DEFINITELY A PART OF REDMAN SUCCESS IN THE GAME !!

This is truly a sore loss in the Hip-Hop community that hits to the core. 

May Adam rest in eternal peace knowing that he has left a lasting legacy that will carry over for decades to come.
