John Travolta is firing back at his sexual assault accusers, claiming that he was in the Big Apple well before the assault allegedly took place.
TMZ obtained flight records that show Travolta’s jet departed from Los Angeles the night before the proposed assault.
However, the two accusers are not letting up. John Doe #1 released a statement to RadarOnline despite the new evidence.
“I don’t think anyone should form any opinion about Mr. Travolta, his family, his council, myself, John Doe #2, and our counsel. Instead, I would urge everyone to understand that guilt or innocence in our Justice System is decided by our court system. Too often these matters are decided by swaying public opinion through elements that would never be considered in an actual court case.”
“For instance, a photograph, a restaurant receipt, testimony, and other things that may or may not constitute proof have strict guidelines that must be followed. A fine example is the amazing number of guilty people that escape their crimes due to the mishandling of evidence. Is it disappointing, of course it is, but it is a price we must pay in order to have a justice system that runs in a constitutional manner.”
“In consideration of that, I ask the public to not judge anyone, and allow all parties to work things out in a respectful and dignified manner, and if these matters do go to court than only that final decision past appeals, etc should be considered a definitive statement on ‘guilt’ or ‘innocence.'”
John Doe #2 maintains that he alerted his superiors about the situation right away through emails.
The accusers’ lawyer Okorie Okorocha told RadarOnline:
“My client notified his superiors and management at the hotel about what had happened to him while he was in John Travolta’s hotel room. There are MULTIPLE e-mails to document this, which will obviously be a big part of our case as we proceed.
The fact that he sent these e-mails on the day this occurred will only bolster our case. My client also spoke with multiple members of management at the hotel, so there are many witnesses that will be called as well.”
John Doe #2’s lawsuit says that Travolta came back to the spa after the incident in order to demand he return to his room.
“Travolta went down to the spa that Plaintiff No. 2 worked at, which is part of the resort Travolta was staying at, as opposed to having Doe Plaintiff No. 2 go to his room. Travolta DEMANDED that Doe Plaintiff No. 2 come back and do it again and he refused.”
Yet another wrinkle in this story is that there is also proof that Travolta was checked in at the Greenwich Hotel in New York City in the afternoon of the day in question.
TMZ reported that he did a wardrobe fitting for his new movie and obtained photos from inside the hotel.
Travolta has a long fight ahead of him; we hope this clears up as quickly as possible!
