Everything we see is the result of someone else’s thought. What are you thinking?

We are living in a society, a time, a world—albeit progressive, where the Media and its influencers are trying to control our thoughts, they are telling us how to think, what to think, and when to think it. Working against us, not with us, not for real.

Woe, to the people with Revolutionary thoughts. The world changers, the educators, the peacemakers, the caretakers, the entrepreneurs. W.O.E- to you.

I am you! In today’s society if you are not apart of social networking, you almost don’t exist. For anyone pursuing the thoughts and ideas in their mind, the World Wide Web is the next best thing to going the distance itself.

So I had a thought, a revolutionary thought.

A thought that I believe could revolutionize the way we view Cancer, the way we support people and families affected by Cancer. Even the way, we treat the Cancer.  I’m creating a documentary called F#%! CANCER! I won’t go into details here, because this is not about me, but in an attempt to get F#%! CANCER! Out of my head and into your hands, I took to Twitter, I took to Facebook, I took to Pinterest, I took to Kickstarter.

It has only been a few days and I have been in twitter jail, denied by network news sources, blocked by Star Jones, and reprimanded by Kickstarter for SPAM! This is what my tweet read; “One affected. All affected. 600,000 will die– THIS YEAR! http://kck.st/Jtuz7n Pls support F#%! CANCER! the docu.!”

I tagged, I tagged, and I will tag again!  @starjonesesq @therealbanner @unclerush @ninagarcia @iamjillian the list goes on.

These are people that I admire, that I look up to, whose careers I have supported. Why would I not ask them for support? It’s twitter! It’s the internet—I’m not at your door asking for money, I’m not calling you, I’m not stalking you—I’m simply asking for a ReTweet.

Now, I understand that these people have thousands and thousands, some millions—of followers, but to acknowledge and ignore, is utterly disrespectful. For someone to tell me that F#%! CANCER! (literally, F Cancer) is too much, is disrespecting my Revolutionary Gangsta! Especially when you have shows like the B ____ in Apartment 23, or GCB, or hell, every artist and nearly every show currently on television uses profanity without a cause. It is beyond frustrating when you find yourself passionately working toward a cause, trying to get it out there, people are receptive but you know it needs media attention,  and the only thing they’re talking about is Kanye’s car—Kim’s dress, Tami’s weave, things that are irrelevant and inevitably unimportant to pushing the world forward.  Where are our priorities? Come on.

I’m not saying eliminate those things, but more meaningful conversations should be had. It is not okay that 600,000 Americans will die of Cancer—this year. Not okay, and I don’t hear this in the news, but somehow I managed to learn that Rihanna unfollowed Chris Brown on twitter. #blankstare Come on.

My heart goes out to every Revolutionary Soul; your thoughts, your ideas—matter. The sacrifices you make to pull it all together—matter. Don’t be distracted. Don’t be discouraged. Don’t quit! We were all created with greatness in mind. I want so bad to say F the Media! Truth is, we all need the Media, but we definitely need the Media to do a better a job of delivering balanced, and unbiased content. Period.
