The Coachella Music Festival graces music lovers only once a year, but why once a year, when you can have five Coachellas?

Yup, you read that right!

Coachella Music Festival is planning on expanding their popular annual music festival to five shows a year.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the Coachella Music Festival committee is currently researching the impact of five music festivals to the desert town of Indio, California.

In the “Notice of Preparation,” the Desert Sun notes, the city is undertaking an environmental study to examine what kind of impact “five concerts a year through 2030” would have on the region.

Three of the concerts would be held over consecutive, three-day weekends in the spring, with another two weekend festivals mounting in the fall. Expansion plans also call for an attendance increase to 99,000 — the current maximum attendance for any single weekend is 95,000 — and an increase in site size, to 601 acres from the current 535.

Coachella recently announced their S.S. Coachella music “Festival at Sea,” which goes down this winter for two consecutive weekends in December.

Over the past few years, Coachella has definitely made itself the “it” festival to experience, especially with the influx of mainstream celebrities and the undeniable publicity it has garnered.

Do you think five Coachellas is a little extreme, or are you down with hitting the valley multiple times a year?
