A pregnant woman was found stabbed to death in NYC yesterday, which was also the night before her big wedding day.
The woman, named Vindalee Smith who was eight months pregnant, was found dead in her apartment in East Flatbush, Brooklyn with a gash in her neck.

According to the Associated Press, the child she was set to give birth to, did not survive either.
One of her friends told local newspapers:
“I can’t even begin to imagine who would want to do that. It would be the devil, to kill a woman with a child in her stomach. They killed two people.”
Vindalee Smith is leaving behind 4 children who are in their 20’s, as well as in their teens. Her baby shower was planned for yesterday, with her wedding to follow Sunday.

Tyler Harrigan, a man that went to her church, told the NY Daily News:
“She was always on time— always the first person at church. When the news came to the church, the whole church broke down. We started to bawl. All the children were crying.”
We pray for the family of Vindalee Smith and hope that the violence can stop.
