Ryan Leslie has been under a lot of fire this past week since he’s been forced by a judge to pay a man the reward of $1 million for his stolen laptop back in 2010.
Many have been scrutizing the “Les Is More” singer for not coming through with his word after agreeing to pay the amount to the returner of his laptop that contained all of his music, but they don’t seem to know the full story.
Even though the man filed a lawsuit, Ryan recently performed at LIU’s homecoming concert, where he finally revealed why he hadn’t paid this guy his reward.
Apparently when R. Les got the computer back, the hard drive didn’t have any of his music on it, which was the sole reason he needed it back.
He explained that the reward was for returning the music still on the laptop, but when that didn’t happen, he didn’t want to cough up $1 million to the returner who could have stolen the potential hits.
After shedding a couple of a tears from his confession, he played some hits for the students and assured them that they could get a $1 million reward themselves if they found the music he’s been missing for a couple of years now.
Hopefully someone will do the right thing and return the music because we’d sure love to hear it!
