That is, however, what California Hamster Association is saying.
Last week, during a concert in Philips Arena in Atlanta, Justin Bieber gave his beloved hamster Pac to a screaming fan.

The fan seemed happy by this act, however, not everyone is pleased. TMZ spoke to a rep for the California Hamster Association — amazing something like this exists — and they were upset by the act.
The rep said:
“Hamsters are fragile creatures that “often succumb quickly to illness and death…The moment that hamster was handed off to a screaming girl in a harsh, frenzied environment was likely the moment it gazed at the short path to its doom.”
The rep said Justin should have instead gave the pet to an animal shelter or a rescue center, where they could have given it to a correct home.

Don’t tell any of this to the super fan. According to another TMZ article, the hamster is living the good life in Alabama, just tweeting his little heart away.
