During the first part of Dr. Phil’s exclusive interview with Ronaiah Tuiasosopo yesterday, the two hashed it out about whether he was the voice of Manti Te’o’s “girlfriend,” Lennay Kekua.

He told Dr. Phil that he was uncomfortable doing the voice and the episode ended with Tuiasosopo going behind a curtain to do the voice in private.

So…what’s the verdict?

That recording was sent to voice analysts, one of whom concluded Tuiasosopo was “a true talent” who had abilities the analyst had never seen before. All three experts concluded the voice matched those from the voicemails.

Well damn! Guess he wasn’t lying after all!

But the two also discussed another disturbing detail that may explain why Tuiasosopo created the fantasy world of Lennay Kekua. He admitted to Dr. Phil that he had been molested and even raped.

The 22-year-old Tuiasosopo told McGraw he was repeatedly molested, beginning at age 12, by someone who was close to his father, a church pastor and youth minister.

Wow. This is more complex and serious than we thought.

We hope Tuiasosopo can get the help that he needs.
