One of the most slept on rappers in the underground scene is the very talented, super dope Homeboy Sandman. His latest single, “The Plot Thickens,” is crazy. If you’re fan then you already know. If not, sit back and watch my man put in work on a Keith Edward-produced banger!

There are so many Rockys in the rap game right now, from A$AP to Fresh. Peep this kid out of The Twin Cities of Minneapolis, Rocky Diamonds, and his fresh joint, “Day One.” This is a laid back smokers sort of song. Mr. Diamonds uses his 3 minutes and change to take us on a journey through his story of getting on. The sample that producer J Classic used on this track is what truly drives the melody around Rocky’s wordplay.

Last Saturday No Limit member Mr. Magic and his wife passed away tragically in a car accident. Magic may not be as well known to a new generation of MCs but during his day he was a 5 Star General in Master P’s No Limit army. Snoop Lion put out a tribute titled “Heaven” that sends R.I.P.s up to the heavens for all the loved ones with whom we’ve lost. It’s not what your probably expecting from Snoop, but let’s not forget this is a tribute. R.I.P. Mr. Magic.

This new sub genre of singsong hip-hop in autotune is like the new thing to do or have on a project. It rarely works, but when it does, it just does. I like this new DJ Victoriouz featuring King Louie “She On Me.” This is strip club ratchedness at its finest.

Vado is still on his victory lap celebrating his recent signing with We The Best Music Group. Added to that, Funk Flex is making his re-entry into the mixtape game. Peep this new Vado track “Don’t Make Me Do It.” This sure-fire club and radio banger, which features a buffet of modern day rhymesayers, like French Montana, Meek Mill, Ace Hood and of course a quick DJ Khaled tag. I don’t have to say much on this. You will hear this blazing in a hood near you. Until We Read Again.

Think B.I.G.
