Christopher Knafelc, 32, was waiting for a train in north Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon when he saw a man walk off the platform and fall on the tracks. Knowing that the train would be arriving in a matter of minutes, Christopher jumped down to save the man right away and it was all caught on tape.

Knafelc told WPVI-TV:

“I had a plan if a train came I was going to roll him underneath or if I couldn’t, I was going to ask someone to jump down and help me roll him.”

Wow! A real life superman?!

According to Huffington Post:

He held the man’s head and neck stable until firefighters arrived. Train traffic was halted.

The man fell just inches from the third rail, and the two could’ve been electrocuted if they had come in contact with it,

Knafelc told the Philadelphia Daily News:

“I was like 99.9 percent positive that I wouldn’t get electrocuted, I can’t see (the tracks) being able to electrocute you, because too many people would get hurt.”

Well, thankfully he didn’t!

Knafelc told the Daily News:

“He didn’t thank me, but I know he was thankful. You know what I mean? In my heart I believe he was.”

How nice! Hopefully Christopher’s act of kindness inspires others. Check out his heroism in the video above!
