It’s that time again. True Blood premieres its SIXTH season tonight at 9pm on HBO.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: does anyone still watch this show?
Well, the short answer is yes. I would agree the plot lines are convoluted, the dialogue is ridiculous and the whole thing is way too campy for its own good.
But if you don’t watch True Blood, you’re missing out on some hysterical characters, ridiculously hot men, super steamy sex, swears and bloody violence.
If you need convincing, here are some pretty superficial reasons True Blood is still endlessly entertaining.
When we left off last season, Sookie was in peril. Shocker. Her beloved Bill turned into a religious zealot, drank a whole bunch of magical blood and now wants to rip her face off.
But we know Sook will get out of this one. She always does. And a lot of the time we think they could just kill Sookie off and no one would care.
We feel ya, Pam. In fact, Pam is one of the reasons we still watch TB. She’s endlessly classic.
But it was super weird when Pam and her vampire spawn Tara started making out.
We think Pam was just upset about losing her maker Eric. At the end of last season, he released her from his protection for her own safety. We’d be upset if we lost this too:
Yes, yes we would Eric.
If you’re unclear, Eric Northman is one of the big reasons we still tune into TB.

We’ll keep watching because we want to find out what happens with that vampire ghost that killed Sookie’s parents.
To find out if Jessica goes back to her good girl ways, or becomes a stripper at Fangtasia.
And who will be the next bad guy now that Russell Edgington is finally really dead.
