“Waterfalls” without Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes’ iconic verse?

Sounds like blasphemy, right? Don’t tell that to Chilli and T-Boz, the two living members of TLC.

Left Eye’s family is upset with Chilli and T-Boz after a new version of the group’s iconic song was released. The new version replaces Lisa with Japanese pop star Namie Amuro.

Liza’s sister, Reigndrop Lopes — yes, that’s her real name — talked to TMZ about the record, and she revealed her disappointment:

“I did not know about it until a fan posted it online. I mean it would have been nice if they would have given us a heads up before being surprised.”

Lopes also said that her mother was “hurt” by the new version of the song.

So…what gives with a new version of “Waterfalls” anyway?

Well, the new track is a 20-year anniversary remix intended for fans in Japan.

Reigndrop goes on to tell TMZ that she is OK with the song, only if it stays in Japan.

And that seems to be the plan. We wanted to post the new version, but it seems to have been removed from the Internet.

So feel free to enjoy the original version below.
