This is one is for all my curvy, thick boned, voluptuous, a little extra meat on the bones, plus sized girls.

Now let’s be honest, everyone from celebrities to our own friends are busting out in their little bikinis, showing off their slamming bodies and what not. As a plus sized girl myself, growing up I never really felt comfortable showing my body in a bathing suit and always opted to put a shirt over my swimsuit. And what made things worse was that all the swimsuits made for curvy girls had no variety whatsoever. It was always that one-piece suit that had some horrible, cheap print, that I wouldn’t dare let anyone see me in.

Thank the fashion gods for finally getting it together for us curvy girls. Who said two pieces were just for skinny girls? Here are our top favorite swimsuits for all you plus sized girls to show off some skin, but with a tasteful and fashionable approach!

Now this is what we call prints honey! Nakimuli’s Curvy Line presents you their Bright Aztec Serengeti Swimsuit that allows you to wear a high waist bottom and ruffle bikini top to cover you in all the right places.

You might be seeing a pattern here with high-waisted bottoms, but these bottoms are anygirl’s best friend; they suck up everything from the side, front and back. Rue 107 added some navy blue stripes to this peach neon suit, giving a slender illusion.

This inspired African print two-piece halter from Monif Clarke gives that extra support for the “girls.” We don’t want to give anyone a free show.

If the two-piece and the prints combined are too much for you, maybe a bold color will just do it. This little bad boy here can convert into 6 styles; a bandeau, halter, high waist, standard brief, banded low waist, and a skirt!

Monif Clarke never ceases to amaze me! A one piece can still be hot with a bold color and even some fringes.

This black cutout tube top piece from Forever 21 gives you comfort, sex appeal and simplicity all in one. What more can you ask for?

Sofa-king-hawt! Another Monif Clarke piece that will have everyone breaking their necks.

Being a little thicker should not hold you back from being fashion savvy, especially in the summer.

Hey it’s 2013, do what you want, but tastefully and appropriately ladies! Now go on, put on that swimsuit and work it girl.
