So much for staying out of trouble.

On the heels of his DUI arrest, pop singer Justin Bieber has turned himself into Toronto police on charges of criminal assault following the alleged attack of a limousine driver in December.

According to TMZ

Justin took a limo in Toronto in December and got into some sort of skirmish.  At the time we were told a member of his entourage was being investigated for roughing up the driver.

But the investigation took a turn … We’re told Toronto cops wanted to talk to Justin but he didn’t come in for an interview and they got annoyed.

Justin turned himself in on Wednesday evening.

Sources say Justin will be booked for assault, given a citation and released on his own recognizance.

Bieber’s lawyer released a statement regarding the legal matter:

“The Toronto Police Service requested that Justin Bieber appear in Toronto today to face an allegation of assault relating to an incident on December 29, 2013,” his lawyer said in a statement to E! News. “We anticipate that this matter will be treated as a summary offense, the equivalent of a misdemeanor in the United States.”

“Our position is that Mr. Bieber is innocent. As the matter is now before the Court, it would be inappropriate to address the specifics of either the allegation or of our defense at this time.”

But that’s far from the last thing The Biebs has to worry about right now. It was announced Wednesday that the star will fight charges in Miami Beach that he resisted arrest when he was pulled over for a DUI and drag racing. He has pled not guilty.

Looks like Bieber may be spending the next few months in a courtroom.
