Ty Dolla $ign May Ask Jhene Aiko To Join "L.A." Collab With Kendrick

If you’re relevant artist in music, chances are you spent the last week performing dozens of showcases at Austin’s SXSW Film & Music Festival.

During GlobalGrind’s time down in the great state of Texas, we caught up with our good friend Ty Dolla $ign fresh off his high energy performance at the Nice Kicks showcase.

With recent news of his “L.A.” collaboration with Kendrick Lamar making headlines, Ty revealed he may ask singer/songwriter Jhene Aiko to join the forthcoming Los Angeles anthem. The “Paranoid” singer also toyed with the idea of holding a contest for L.A.-based singers to audition to become part of the “historical” collaboration.

Ty also teased his forthcoming “Familiar (Remix)” featuring 2 Chainz, which he says is out of this world. Ty’s forthcoming album, Free TC, is dedicated to his little brother, who is in prison for a crime Ty believes he didn’t commit. The proceeds of Free TC will go towards TC’s legal fees.
