Despite telling reporters last week that her husband is not a racist, Rochelle (Shelly) Sterling fully supports the NBA’s decision to force her husband, Donald Sterling, out of the Los Angeles Clippers.

NBA Spokesman Mike Bass announced Saturday that the league will begin to search for a new owner for the team after racist recordings got Sterling ousted from the NBA for life. Shelly, who is co-owner of the team, released a statement showing her cooperation.

“I spoke with Commissioner Adam Silver this week to tell him that I fully supported his recent swift and decisive action. We also agreed at that time that, as a next step, both the league and the team should work together to find some fresh, accomplished executive leadership for the Clippers. I welcome his active involvement in the search for a person of the utmost character, proven excellence and a commitment to promoting equality and inclusiveness.

“As a co-owner, I am fully committed to taking the necessary steps to make the Clippers the best team in the NBA. That has been my aspiration ever since 1981.”

Hmmm, that’s a far cry from that time she screamed her support of Sterling to TMZ cameras…which you can totally watch here.

Either way, good to see she’s with the program — now.
