shocking video of a man who was killed after being put into a choke-hold by the NYPD surfaced on Friday and now, the cop who was responsible for the horrific incident has had his gun and badge seized.

The victim, Eric Garner, 43, passed away minutes after police threw him to the ground and choked him outside of a Staten Island store. Another shocking clip shows the unresponsive victim on the ground minutes before help arrives.

According to Daily Mail:

Officers Daniel Pantaleo and Justin Damico have since been places on desk duty, with eight-year veteran Pantaleo forced to hand in his gun and badge, according to the New York Daily News.

The new footage shows a crowd forming around Garner as he fights for his life on the ground. Police attempted to force the person capturing the footage to leave, but they resist. Garner then becomes unresponsive after the police try to speak with him. One cop pressed his fingers onto his neck, claiming Garner still had a pulse.

The paramedic came and at least 6 cops helped put the 400-pound man, who reportedly suffered from asthma, on a stretcher. The video came to be exposed after the widow, Esaw Garner, broke her silence about her husband’s death.

Rev. Al Sharpton held Esaw Garner as she sobbed uncontrollably at a Saturday press conference held by Sharpton’s National Action Network. Sharpton said:

The issue is not that if one was selling [untaxed] cigarettes, the issue is that an unarmed man was subjected to a choke-hold and the result is he is no longer with us.

Mayor De Blasio has promised a full and thorough investigation of the tragic Staten Island incident. Our prayers go out to Garner family. See the new, raw footage here.
