Good news for all the Glee fans out there, though the beloved high school comedy-drama is coming to an end, creator Ryan Murphy already has another show in the works. The writer/director teamed up once again with FOX and co-creators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan to make an entirely new series.
The new show, titled Scream Queens, is set on a college campus plagued with a series of murders. The show will premiere next fall with a 15-episode season. After making the brave decision to let go of Glee, Ryan seems to be over the moon about his new series.
“I knew I wanted to work with Brad and Ian again on something comedic, and we are having a blast writing Scream Queens,” Murphy said in a statement. “We hope to create a whole new genre—comedy-horror—and the idea is for every season to revolve around two female leads.”
We can’t wait to watch. In the meantime, Ryan is also executive producer of the new season of American Horror Story: Freak Show.
Meanwhile at ABC, Tyra Banks is planning an epic comeback. The supermodel-turned-business-guru is set to host The F.A.B (Fun and Beautiful), a fun lifestyle show that will feature supermodel Chrissy Teigen, fashion guru Joe Zee, interior designer Lauren Makk, and YouTube sensation Leah Ashley.
The show, set to premiere next fall, marks Tyra’s comeback to daytime television. The execs at ABC seem thrilled to have the former model on their roster of shows:

Kerry Washington and co-star Tony Goldwyn have been steaming up TV screens across the nation as Olivia and Fitz in the hit television show Scandal.
However, in her interview with Allure magazine, the actress admits that the sexy scenes are still awkward, even after four seasons of doing them.
“They’re hard to do,” Kerry admitted. “You’re doing things that you’re supposed to do with only certain people in your life. Because this is not your real partner in life, doing that is awkward. And then doing it in a room full of people is awkward,” she added.
Kerry also spoke about having to strike a balance between keeping the fans happy and remembering that she and Tony have marriages and families to keep in mind.
“Particularly with a show like ours, where people are so invested in the chemistry, you just learn to be careful, because people’s real relationships in life are important,” she told the mag. “I so respect and admire his wife and him and their family, and he feels the same way about mine. And so you learn to be careful about how you say things.
Annabelle made a huge splash on the big screen, grossing over $150 million dollars worldwide. At the home box office, the horror film, which follows an expectant couple as they are haunted and taunted by a creepy doll, made $37.1 million dollars, the largest weekend opening this year for a horror film.
President of Domestic Distribution at Warner Bros. Dan Fellman released a statement:
“Who doesn’t love a creepy doll? Annabelle is back and audiences have certainly missed her, judging by their enthusiastic welcome in theaters across the country. We’re happy to have unleashed the spirit of Halloween a little early this year, and congratulate New Line and the filmmakers on reaching this impressive benchmark.”
After the huge success of Frozen, Disney is taking its next animated film to the high seas of Asia.
The film, named Moana, will follow a teenager on a mission to fulfill her ancestor’s quest. The new film is set to hit theaters in late 2016 and is directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, who have also directed other Disney hits such as The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and The Princess and the Frog.
Clements is excited to partner with Musker again, stating:
“John and I have partnered on so many films—from ‘The Little Mermaid’ to ‘Aladdin’ to ‘The Princess and the Frog,’” said Clements. “Creating ‘Moana’ is one of the great thrills of our career. It’s a big adventure set in this beautiful world of Oceania.”
