When the Wi-Fi at the crib isn’t working, you’ve gotta escape to an internet cafe for a few hours…or maybe ten years.

That’s what happened to a Chinese woman who got into an argument with her parents a decade ago and subsequently sought refuge in different internet cafes. Twenty-four-year-old Xiao Yun was presumed dead by her parents until a routine check at a cafe in Hangzhou, during which police noticed Yun’s fake ID and brought her to the local station. It was then that she revealed her true identity.

According to The Star, Yun spent her days playing the video game Crossfire and worked as a cashier at the cafes she frequented, but mostly relied on handouts. “I have a stubborn personality and a short temper, so I used to scold her. But it’s been 10 years and now she’s an adult. I will never scold her again,” Yun’s mother said.

The police fined Yun the equivalent of around $150- she has since been reunited with her parents.
