“Couches, couches, couches, couches, which one should I pick?”
When Kanye West rapped about couches on TLOP, we didn’t quite realize how serious he may have been about diving into the furniture game. Then again, when ‘Ye gets an idea, he usually accomplishes it. Now, we’re left wondering: is he gearing up to collaborate with Ikea?
First reported by a user in the Kanye To The forum, Mr. West was spotted touring Ikea’s headquarters in Sweden. The Independent reports that Yeezy met with Ikea to discuss a possible design collaboration. In a statement, the furniture giant would not confirm or deny the suspicions, saying:
“Today Kanye West came by our design department at IKEA of Sweden in Älmhult to explore IKEA and our design. At IKEA we are constantly curious about different people, companies, artists and events around the world. To have these connections and inspiring meetings is an important way for us to find new ways to create a better everyday life for the many people.”
Kanye’s team has declined to comment. Our inner interior designer imaginations are already running wild.
