The Patron Platinum Donut
Remember that gold donut that became a viral sensation a few months ago? In honor of Cinco de Mayo, Chef Bjorn Cruz’s latest creation is a limited-edition Patron Platinum donut. The treat will be rose-petal flavored filled with cream, spicy ginger, and jalapeno jelly, topped off with a sweet tequila frosting.
It’ll cost you $150 at Manila Social Club to get a taste, but it’s bound to be a Cinco de Mayo moment you’ll never forget.

Tex-Mex restaurant El Original offers a pretty major remedy to the hangovers that usually follow the night of Cinco de Mayo. The 7-pound breakfast taco features 12 eggs, one pound of bacon, one pound of sausage, one pound of refried beans, 8 ounces of Pico de Gallo, 4 ounces of queso, and more stuffed into a 12-inch tortilla.
While it may sound over-the-top, it’s said to be specially designed to cure hangovers.
