Yo, This whole NBC Late Night debacle has been better than any rap beef/battle ever in the history of hip hop. Well maybe not better, but just as good. The NBC, Conan vs. Leno Beef had it all including dope punch lines, personal attacks, singing and even the occasional diss from a posse member.

I mean sure, the posse member was Dave ‘Mr I.F. My Staff’ Letterman, but he talked about Jay Leno’s chin like Nas talked about Jay-Z’s lips in Ether. The best part of this Late Night Beef is it didn’t end in death, but rather with Conan getting a cool 32 Million dollar and an additional 12 million going to his staff. With that said I came up with a few things rappers can learn about beef.

Voice Impressions Work – When you unleash the up and coming rapper on your ‘LABEL’ inprint have him do a voice impression of your target. It’s funnier than Dave Chappelle on newly legalized weed in New Jersey or old fashion chronic. Need an example watch how Dave does it

Go Hard or Go Home – Another key thing rappers should pick up is to never let the beef die. Conan went into NBC’s hood and dissed them daily on their own network. It like going into your job and dissing your boss in front of every customer during your shift. I feel like a lot of rappers simply stop, give up or take to long for to reply. FUNK THAT! Go hard and never stop the disses.

Get Personal, but Understand It’s Just Business – I remember back when rappers actually cared about skills they would form a cypher and start spitting… No Holds Barred. A lot of times when the verbal jabs get too personal rappers want to take it to the streets. They think this makes them hard, but instead it just ruins the fun for everyone. Stand there and battle like a man. When you take it to the streets you potentially mess up a future big pay day.

People Like Beef Even Vegetarians – When news broke about the late night beef Conan’s rating when up 50%. People like to see a competition. Especially when you dress the mouse expensive car in the world up as a mouse and rack up 1.5 Million and charge it to NBC.
