Eminem is the Hottest Rapper Alive Right Now

Eminem has had some ups and downs the past few years but has managed to have one of the best comeback’s (if not the best) in hip hop history. There was a time when Eminem was “the” best rapper in the game hands down. After The Eminem Show, Em started to decline due to his self admitted drug abuse.

In Eminem’s latest album, Recovery, Em describes how he almost dissed Lil’ Wayne and Kanye West because of jealousy. A jealousy that he was no longer the “man” in the game.

Now that Em is back with a vengeance he has now reclaimed his once top spot to dominate the spotlight this year. Below is hiphopAffair’s top 3 reasons why Eminem is the best rapper alive “right now”.

Em Has The Hottest Selling Hip Hop Record of 2010

…And it doesn’t look like anyone will come close. Not only did Eminem’s Recovery make #1 on the Billboard charts selling over 700k in the first week alone, it held the top spot for 5 weeks. On it’s 5th week at number one It even kept Rick Ross’s Teflon Don album from debuting at the #1 spot for the 4th consecutive time.

Even now, at it’s 6th week it’s sitting at #2 overall. These are insane numbers that you can’t deny it and need I remind you… the numbers don’t lie.

Only Artist That Can Get Away With Making a Song With Rihanna About Domestic Violence

To compliment the hottest hip hop album of the year it’s only natural that it comes packaged with the hottest single of the year. That single would be “Love The Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna. What makes this interesting is that it’s a song with lyrics explicitly detailing a rough relationship which included domestic violence. No other rapper would have the guts to spit over a track featuring Rihanna on this topic after the Christ Brown incident.

Breaks All Time YouTube Record

The “Love The Way You Lie Video” featuring Rihanna breaks the all time YouTube videos views with 6.6 million in one day! In just 5 days after the initial premier of the video, it received over 22 million views for the first week. The video also features Megan Fox and actor Dominic Monaghan (Lord of the Rings) fighting and making up throughout the video.

Em released this video the same day Kanye West Released his highly anticipated, highly hyped “Power” video which only received 1.4 million views.

No one can doubt that this is Eminem’s year and I can’t see anyone challenging or coming close to his status any time soon. Not even Kanye West, sorry, not this year.
