The Roots has released a visual for their first single ‘Dear God 2.0’. The song is has a deep message and the video matches the theme. The video release is all in preparation for The Root’s ninth studio album How I Got Over. The video features a cameo from Jim James from rock band Monster of Folk, who also sings on the track. The video was also directed by hip-hop music video director Jason Goldwatch. The video focuses on band front man Black Thought as he weaves a story through the music and his lyrical delivery.
