Chris Brown is officially back. Am I the only one who’s noticed? Ever since his painfully tearful performance at last month’s BET Awards, it was evident that the performer had learned his lesson and wanted nothing more than a true second chance.

Many had claimed to give him a second chance, but no one had taken him seriously for months. Had we really forgotten how talented this guy was? I didn’t think that was possible. Thankfully, he had finally reminded everyone, including those that opposed him, that his talent is beyond comparison and his regret was real.

The only thing that was missing up until his latest performance was the feeling of sincerity. We had been told that he was sincere in his apology but he we hadn’t felt it, the reason it took him over a year to fully return as the man he was before the notorious incident.

What has brought his comeback full circle since the BET Awards aired is that Chris’ voice can finally be heard on the radio again. I have been waiting forever for this man to get some radio play and yes, it’s finally happened. If the radio stations that had once banned him could finally forgive him, it was one huge step closer to getting Chris’s career back to where it once was.

Chris is finally on his way back to the top in more ways than one. Have you seen his new girlfriend? Most people doubted that anyone could upgrade from Rihanna but Chris has proven that finding a beautiful woman is nothing at all. Model Jasmine Sanders is sexy with that exotic twist that everyone loves. Another win for Chris.

Besides Chris’ tearful performance itself, the introduction that Jermaine Jackson gave him helped Chris in a huge way. Michael Jackson’s own brother introducing his performance said something in itself but besides that, Jermaine introduced Chris in the most genius way possible. Instead of an elongated over-done introduction, Jermaine introduced him without even mentioning his name. He stated that this was the performance that had been missing, the one we’ve all been waiting for, and that couldn’t have been more true. Jermaine made a huge statement.

The King of Pop’s own brother even felt that Chris’ tribute to his idol was missing. Chris’ performance blew every other performance that night out of the water and put every other tribute that was ever done for Michael to shame. This was THE performance. This was the one tribute that had been missing since Michael’s tragic death but unfortunately it was never the right time for Chris until this point. With Jermaine’s stamp of approval, Chris was set.

If you have Michael Jackson’s own brother on your side, what else could you need? Well apparently this wasn’t enough for some people as accusations were made that the tears were all for the cameras. I’m not sure if we were watching the same performance but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I’m happy to say though that a lot of people bought the performance because he is really and finally on his way back to the top.

Aside from the comeback performance and A-List status girlfriend, Chris will be co-starring in the movie Takers
