Ever since 1993, ESPN has blessed us with rounding up the top athlete’s of the year, putting them all in a room together and handing out awards to those athletes whose talents shined throughout the year. This event, known as the ESPY Awards, not only features my favorite thing, hot and sexy athletes, but its also dedicated to a good cause. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales go to the V Foundation, a charity established by collegiate basketball coach and television commentator, Jim Valvano, to promote cancer research.
The event, much like what the Grammy’s is for music, has been hosted from everyone from Justin Timberlake to Lance Armstrong. Aside from the entertaining hosts, watching the show is always entertaining because when athletes get together, you know they all try their hardest to out-do one another. Nothing wrong with a little friendly competition considering it leads to more shine and sexiness.
Needless to say, I’m more than excited for tonight’s ESPY Awards, for the men, their perfect suits, their beautiful wives and of course the egos.
