The Simmons are hip-hop’s number one family, so it’s not a shock that Diggy Simmons is jumping into the rap game. He’s already released his first mixtape, The First Flight, which received great feedback from the blogs and those who heard it. He actually just released a video for his ‘Made You Look’ freestyle, and it’s really put his buzz over the top. Rumors have actually surfaced that Diggy has a few record deals on the table. If these rumors are true, then that’s a great look for Diggy. I do see this situation being a possible issue though, especially if it’s more than one label that wants to bring Diggy on board their roster. From Universal to Asylum, Diggy’s got a few options (if the labels are in fact calling). Check out some possible options for Diggy’s musical career.

Bad Boy Records

Although the house that Puff Daddy built is somewhat defunct now, I could see Diggy getting top priority treatment on Bad Boy Records. Puff’s got a knack for pushing new talent (B5, Cassie, Yung Joc) and Diggy’s a fresh breath of air to the game, so I’m certain they’d make history together. Not to mention the endless Dirty Money features and unlimited tickets on the train to Paris. As long as Diggy doesn’t get his hands on any Ciroc, we’ll be alright!

Roc Nation

One of Jay-Z’s brainchilds, Roc Nation, could definitely bring Diggy to the next level. Anything Jay touches turns to gold, and as fellow hip hop royalty, I’m certain Hov would definitely do everything he can to make sure Diggy gets poppin’, from the management to the record deal itself, Roc Nation would have Diggy set. I wonder if he’d do a record with Wale or Melanie Fiona?

Atlantic Records

I could see Atlantic Records being a good fit for Diggy. The first rumors of Diggy getting signed actually started with Atlantic Records being interested in him. Diggy would be right at home at Atlantic. With T.I., B.O.B., and Plies on the label, just to name a few, Diggy would have some great collaboration opportunities at hand.

Konvict Music

Akon makes hits. There’s abosolutely no question about that. And he knows a good artist when he sees it. He’s signed T-Pain and Lady Gaga. Now imagine if Diggy gets on the roster? He’d be set in terms of production, features, and hooks. Do you think he’ll get on a track with French Montana?

Young Money

Perhaps the most popular label out right now, Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment, contains a variety of different artists. From Drake to Nicki Minaj, and even the teen rappers Lil Twist and Lil Chuckee, Diggy would have no problem fitting in with the YM crew. They all hail from different areas, with their own individual swag, so with Diggy’s unique style of rapping, he’d blend right in with the Young Money crew. I
