Is Philly in the midst of a comeback? The city of brotherly love has given us such great emcees as Beanie Sigel, Cassidy, Freeway, and The Roots’ Black Thought. It has been in a bit of a lull since the fall of Roc-A-Fella, but it seems like Philly is back with a vengeance this year. Battle rappers such as Hollow Man and Reed Dollaz have been holding it down for the underground for a while now, but it seems like emcees like Meek Mill and Young Chris could finally bring the Philly sound back to mainstream prominence.

Young Chris has been keeping his name in the spotlight by dropping mixtapes, most recently The Network 2, while Neef has all but disappeared. The two are back together though, and today they dropped their Back to Business mixtape which you can check out here.

Earlier this year Meek dropped the Flamerz 3 mixtape, hosted by DJ Drama (as a part of his Gangsta Grillz series).
