Adele Performs Moving ‘VH1 Unplugged’ Set, Reveals Her Love For Lauryn Hill (VIDEO)
Adele is off to a stellar 2011. The young soulful Brit just dropped her critically acclaimed sophomore album ’21’ and the record quickly flew to the top spot on the Billboard 200, selling 352,000 copies.
Now Adele is following up her sales success with a series of gorgeous performances, including a recent stop-over at ‘VH1’s Unplugged.’ The best thing about Adele’s voice is that it sounds even better live, a characteristic rarely found in today’s pop music.

Adele spoke to MTV News about her ‘Unplugged’ performance and revealed that she’s a huge Lauryn Hill fan. “My favorite one is the Lauryn Hill one; I’ve got that one on CD as well,” she said, “I’ve never been so choked up by something, and it was so refreshing … but just to see her (on ‘Unplugged’), and that broken look, just her and a guitar, her banter between the songs — I felt like how I feel when I hear Etta James. I was just like, ‘I totally get it. She’s in my head, she’s in my heart, she knows me.”
