Forget Jay Z and Beyonce, Minnie and Mickey Mouse were the original it-couple, and much like Bey, Minnie Mouse has acquired a symbolic stance in the fashion world. While you’re busy being single ladies, Minnie is covering magazines, running the show at Disney, and now she is being celebrated in the latest issue of Love Magazine: “The Sweetie Issue.”

The 10th anniversary issue of the magazine was lensed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott with model names including Edie Campbell, Cara Delevigne, Georgia May Jagger, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Chiharu Okungi, but somehow Minnie remained the star of the show.

For the issue, the models (who each got their own covers) each modeled a personalized pair of Minnie ears that were created by the best of the best: Gucci, Loewe, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu and Jake and Dinos Chapman for Louis Vuitton. Each designer was asked to reinterpret Minnie’s iconic ears and bows for the models, and they came equipped with the big guns fully loaded, with leather from Gucci, polka dots from Miu Miu and denim ears from Marc by Marc Jacobs.

All hail queen Minnie, because she is the ultimate icon.
