Lady Gaga lives for the applause.

After much teasing and an internet leak, Lady Gaga officially releases her new single “Applause.”

The “Born This Way” singer wasn’t too happy about her new single hitting the ‘net, so she took things into her own hands (or a prosthetic one) and released the single a week early.

Initially, “Applause” was scheduled to drop August 19, but due to the leak, Gaga decided to release it right away.

“Put your hands up/ make’em touch, make’em touch” sings Gaga.

“Applause” is the lead single off Gaga’s forthcoming album, ARTPOP, which is due out November 11.  Catch Gaga’s debut performance of “Applause” during the MTV VMAs in Brooklyn on Sunday, August 25.
