Katy Perry is apparently really sick of seeing her fellow pop stars in the buff.

The 29-year-old stopped by NPR while promoting the release of her new album Prism, and discussed the nudity epidemic that is plaguing the pop music scene. The “Peacock” singer admitted she’s played the sexy card herself, but that it’s not the only thing she’s got in her deck and she’d like to see her peers play it a bit less.

“I mean, it’s like everybody’s so naked,” she told NPR about her fellow pop singers. “It’s like, put it away. We know you’ve got it. I got it, too. I’ve taken it off for – I’ve taken it out here and there.”

“I’m not necessarily judging. I’m just saying sometimes it’s nice to play that card, but also it’s nice to play other cards. And I know I have that sexy card in my deck but I don’t always have to use that card.”

She also said, “Females in pop – everybody’s getting naked. I mean, I’ve been naked before but I don’t feel like I have to always get naked to be noticed. But it’s interesting to see,” she said.

Katy, who is often seen as a strong role model to young girls, said she’s not necessarily hoping “to be seen as an inspiration.”

“A role model, I think, will fail you. I mean, I couldn’t tell kids when it’s time for them to try things or do things. That’s not my role.”
