The disturbing new trend, the Knockout Game, may have spread fear across areas like Philadelphia, NYC and even Washington, but police in several cities where such attacks are being reported believe the game is nothing more than an “urban myth.” The game, where young people try to knock out a stranger with one blow, might be nothing more than random assaults that have always occurred, police say. They are, however, still investigating. [NYT]

On Monday, President Obama urged Congress to get in the Thanksgiving spirit and carve out a comprehensive immigration deal, saying that he accepts chopping the reform approved by the Senate into pieces if that will help pass the legislation. That Senate measure would permit undocumented immigrants to obtain temporary legal status within six months and to apply for U.S. citizenship in 13 years. Read about it here…[AlJazeera]

So this happened. A new report reveals that in the early years after 9/11, the CIA turned some Guantanamo Bay prisoners into double agents with intentions to send them home to help the U.S. kill and capture terrorists. In return, the CIA reportedly promised freedom and safety for their families, and even offered millions of agency dollars from secret accounts. [AP]

Not everyone is happy about the historic Iran Nuclear Deal. Leading Democratic and Republican Senators are crafting legislation to reinstate sanctions against the nation just in case they choose not to follow the rules of the agreement.
