SantaCon Leads To Drunk Brawl In New York City (VIDEO)

Santa hasn’t been a good boy lately.

SantaCon, the annual tradition that has thousands of New Yorkers flooding bars and streets over the weekend dressed up in holiday attire, led to a drunken brawl in Union Square Saturday night.

According to Deadspin, eight men (six Santas) were involved in the attack that was recorded and posted on YouTube. Police are looking into the fight that occurred around 8:15 p.m. NYPD spokesman Sgt. Lee Jones told the Daily News that police were aware of the video after it went viral on YouTube.

“We’re looking into it,” said NYPD spokesman Sgt. Lee Jones said after the Daily News notified cops of the video that was posted on YouTube. “We don’t have any reported assaults right now. We know about it.”

The event normally leaves New York bars and subways with happy drunk Santas, but if more of these Christmas brawls continue, SantaCon may come to an end for good.
