A man has been arrested after he was found sitting in his car armed with a machete, rifle, and a container of gasoline that he was planning on using in order to kill President George W. Bush.

According to NBC, the 44-year-old man, named Benjamin Smith, intended to try and hurt or kill Bush because he was trying to pursue a relationship with his oldest daughter Barbara Bush.

The site reports:

“‘Bush will get his,’ Smith screamed as he was taken into custody, according to the complaint. Later, when asked about his marital status, he told agents he was divorced and ‘working on a relationship with Barbara Bush.’ At a preliminary hearing, Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrea Griswold told U.S. Magistrate Judge Henry Pitman the government believes Smith was referring to the former president’s daughter and not Bush’s mother, who shares the same name.”

Threatening a current or former President is clearly a crime… what was this guy thinking?

Smith’s mother called authorities yesterday, revealing that she found a note from her son, which read:

“I’m going to work for George W. Bush and the Pentagon. I have to slay a dragon and then Barbara Bush is mine.”

According to reports, the Secret Service tracked him down by way of his cell phone and arrested him when they found him in his car in New York City.

We’re not sure what this man’s fate is yet, but we’ll keep you updated with details.
